Securities

In making a gift of appreciated securities, such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, donors can make sizable contributions to The Ferrer Fund and simultaneously derive practical financial advantages. Donors who have experienced growth in their investments are in an excellent position to donate appreciated securities to the fund, benefit from the tax write-off and avoid paying capital gains tax. Property

Personal property, such as real estate, artwork and antiques, can be a wonderful gift, which could generate a federal income tax deduction based on the appraised fair market value of the property at the time of the gift.
